Freelance Casting Director Sara Jane Sherman (www.sarajanesherman.com) not only came up working in Disney TV Animation working on and casting some of their most popular and successful shows in recent years (Phineas and Ferb, Gravity Falls, Star Vs Forces of Evil), but has now branched out to work as a freelance casting director, casting and directing animated shows all over Hollywood, (recently including Looney Tunes Cartoons and the reboot of Animaniacs). She also coaches, teaches classes, and consults. She is a wealth of knowledge and is a very candid and delightful person. In our conversation, Sara shares how to stand out in ways that reflects you as an actor, what to do/not do in auditions, discussion about ad-libbing or improv in animation auditions and so much more.
